Artist's statement:

For four years, I studied Fine Arts at the University of Quebec in Montreal, but due to a lack of income, I had to become a civil servant. During my thirty-six years of service, I continued to cultivate my passion for art by teaching drawing and painting classes. Upon my retirement, I decided to devote myself to creating art and incorporating recycled objects into my paintings. I found treasures at the “Éco-Centre Arte” recycling center and at ReStore Habitat for Humanity. These objects, of all shapes and textures, have given my work a surprising dimension. For the past 13 years, I have been perfecting my 3D technique, which has allowed me to exhibit in some 50 symposiums and exhibitions, receiving several awards and articles in the media. My work is also intended to be an environmental message, using recycled materials to raise awareness about protecting the planet. The integration of these objects proves that they can have a new life and that every used item has a second chance. My creations, often composed of materials that were incompatible in their first life, surprise viewers and show them that art and recycling can go hand in hand for the present and the future.
